Beach Rules & Regulations

- Stay off the dunes and use designated boardwalks to access the beach.
- Alcohol, fireworks, smoking, vaping, and open fires are prohibited.
- Any holes dug in the sand must be filled in before you leave.
- Swimming near piers and inlets is not allowed.
- No overnight camping or vehicles are permitted on the beach.

Are Pets Allowed on the Beach?
Yes! Dogs are welcome year-round on Isle of Palms Beaches. However, there are specific guidelines:
Off-Leash Hours: April 1 – September 14: Dogs may be off-leash from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.
September 15 – March 31: Off-leash hours extend from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m.
Outside of these times, dogs must be on a leash, and owners should be prepared to leash their pet immediately upon request. All pet waste must be cleaned up, and convenient dog waste stations are located at many access points. Proof of rabies vaccination is required, and locals are encouraged to obtain a dog permit from the Isle of Palms Police Department.
